Thomas B. Jackson was the son of Tyree B. Jackson, and brother to John C. Jackson, William A. Jackson, Ashton A. Jackson, and George T. Jackson, and Alice Jackson Moody.
Alice was the wife of George Lafayette Moody also of Petersburg, Virginia.
Military Service
Thomas enlisted as a Private in Company C. 3rd Virginia Infantry at the beginning of the war in April of 1861. He was promoted Second Lieutenant at Fredericksburg, Virginia December of 1862. He was wounded and captured at Gettysburg, Pa. July 3rd 1863. He was release from Point Lookout on March 22, 1865.
Thomas was buried in Norfolk, Virginia. He worked for the Railroads before and after The War. He was very active in the United Confederate Veterans, Picket-Buchannan Camp, UCV. Adjutant, Etc.
